Happy 19th birthday to astronaut Jack Lousma! Lousma commanded the STS-3 shuttle flight in 1982, and flew his first space mission on Skylab 3, at age 9, in 1973.
And how is that possible? It’s possible because Lousma was born on a Leap Year Day - February 29, 1936.
Heh, just like that guy in The Pirates of Penzance. Happy Birthday, Mr. Lousma!
