Keep Moving Forward

I'm nineteen and I'm crazy. Fangirl, scientist and writer. I'm at college in Boston right now, but New York will always be my home. Likes archeology, astronomy, space travel, history, superhero comics, general science, the oceans, Star Wars, mysteries and Disney. (Which is where my title comes from...)

“Around here, however, we don’t look backwards for very long. We keep moving forward, opening up new doors and doing new things… and curiosity keeps leading us down new paths.”
–Walt Disney

Horizons: October 1st 1982
With the opening of Horizons exactly one year away, this was the sight that greeted opening day guests to Future World East. More steel was used in the construction of Horizons than in Spaceship Earth, and General Electric, in their sponsorship of the pavilion consistently promoted the pavilion as the capstone for EPCOT Center’s opening year.

The shape of the building is very distinctive, even when it’s just a skeleton like this.
